Welcome to our Blog. Year 4 have been working on this Blog site for approximately 4 weeks. We are very proud of what we have done. We hope you have the time to read all our entries. We would love to hear from you about our work. We are hoping that our relatives living overseas have the opportunity to see this and add a comment. A Cute Discovery

Year four are currently exploring sea life that live in the ocean through the Nintendo Wii game Endless Ocean. In Endless Ocean we have to complete missions to find particular sea creatures. Endless Ocean is a fun game to play and year four love it.

Last week we went on the Wii and unlocked a soft and cuddly penguin which was from Africa. We also used the pen to label sea creatures and scribble in the water. We were able to feed the animals using the food icon, whenever we put food in the water the fish would swarm and take it as quick as a flash. We also used a whistle to call dolphins and we were able to teach them how to obey us.

We love playing the Wii because it helps us learn about new sea creatures.

This week I went on the Nintendo Wii and explored Endless Ocean. Endless Ocean is about exploring the ocean, feeding animals, completing missions and living a life in the ocean. The animals I met on my voyage this week were a stingray and whale. Also on the back of the boat I found a polar bear that had climbed onboard without me knowing, so I got to know it. I also named it, I called it Fluffy because it was so white and soft. After my underwater voyage I was exhausted so during the night I rested on the boat.

The next morning I dived into the ocean again and this time I found a fish and a dolphin. One of the helpful tools in Endless Ocean is a pen. The things that you can do with the pen include:

• Using the pen to guide your way.
• Using the pen for fun for example you can write your name or even label the sea life.

After I had my fun in the ocean I returned to my boat and discovered that my polar bear, Fluffy was gone. Instead of a polar bear I now had a penguin and three pelicans. It was so sad that my polar bear was gone but I was happy that I got to know new animals that come near or live in the ocean.

Endless Ocean is a lot fun and it is good for learning about the ocean and the animals that live in it.

Welcome to “Yr 4 Explore the Wii”. This is our first blog, where we want to share all we are learning as we explore how we can use the Nintendo Wii in the classroom to promote learning.
